Solo exhibit RAUL VS BASQUIAT by Raul

April 3, 2024

ETHICANDO GALLERY organises the personal exhibition entitled RAUL VS BASQUIAT by the artist RAUL, under the artistic curatorship of Marco Eugenio Di Giandomenico.

ETHICANDO Association organises the personal exhibition entitled RAUL VS BASQUIAT by the artist RAUL, at its ETHICANDO GALLERY exhibition spaces, Viale Luigi Majno n. 38 - 20129 Milan, under the artistic curatorship of Marco Eugenio Di Giandomenico.

RAUL, an international artist of Abruzzese origin, currently living between London (UK) and Ibiza (ES), with artworks exhibited all over the world (Europe, USA, Japan, Australia, China), creatively dwells on the art of a giant of the 20th century, Jean-Michel Basquiat.

The New York artist came into contact in the 1980s with the Pescara-based gallerist Cesare Manzo, of whom after about twenty years RAUL became the main collaborator for more than a decade and then the heir to an immense relational heritage and experiences that involved the main artists and critics of the twentieth century, not only Italian.

Ethicando Gallery, from 10 to 14 April 204, hosts the exhibition of N. 35 works by RAUL, mostly inspired by Basquiat art, narrated and experienced by Cesare Manzo.

The exhibition also includes works from the author's Symbolist strand in continuous semiological and aesthetic evolution, with careful research into materials and situations of realisation and exhibit.
